Inn-Commerce: Gamified Training for Successful Commercialization of Young SMEs?Innovation




The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Csongrád County (CSMKIK) has a history of more than 125 years and has nearly 1400 members from the fields of trade, industry, service and crafts. These enterprises represent almost 60% of the economic power of the county. Although the membership is voluntary, it is compulsory for the enterprises of Csongrád County (except for the companies working in the field of agriculture) to register themselves at the regional chamber of commerce. In addition the Chamber has a registry of the regional construction companies too.

The role of the chamber is to help their members, the actors of the business sphere, through the improvement of entrepreneurial environment, economic analyses and forecasts, the coordination of vocational training, suggestions, building credible, authentic business relationships and providing consultation in legal, taxation and other matters.

The Training Department of the Chamber is a coordinating body between the enterprises and VET institutions (including trainees), tackling their tasks identified in the Act and enforcement decree on vocational training and conducting master training and master examinations.

CSMKIK is a member of the following associations or networks:- Danube Chambers of Commerce Association (19 chambers are members);- Enterprise Europe Network - EEN (around 600 member organisations located in more than 50 countries);EEN supports SMEs by free innovation consulting in order to increase and utilize their innovative potential. The aim of the network is to enhance innovation activities of SMEs, to provide technology transfer possibilities and to develop international cooperation. The network also supports the business sector by offering personalized consulting for boosting SMEs innovation capacities

CSMKIK will be responsible for wide dissemination of the INN-COMMERCE project. The chamber will regularly publish project news on its website: (3000 visitors/month), both in English and in Hungarian. CSMKIK will disseminate the project developments through a monthly newspaper Kamarai Futár which is received by 1500 Chamber’s member companies. The newsletter has an electronic version too, which is sent to 200 e-mail addresses. CSMKIK will also present the project at different events and publish follow-up press releases. 

The Chamber has numerous contacts that are key-stakeholders of the current project proposal:

  • SzegedBoost (umbrella organization of start-up enterprises)
  • Junior Achievement Hungary+ KISOSZ (Association of Csongrad County Retailers)
  • University of Szeged
  • Hungarian Intellectual Property Office
  • Young Entrepreneurs Association Hungary (county level representative office)

These stakeholders will be kept informed about the project’s main objectives, results and its milestones in order to utilize and spread the project’s results among their target groups.
